On Sunday 13th October I was honoured to be invited to the Lord Mayor of Stoke’s Civic Service, held at the atmospheric St John The Evangelist Church in Stoke-on-Trent.
The Lord Mayor, Councillor Jackie Barnes, organised this very special service, which was conducted by the Rector of Hartshill, Penkhull and Trent Valley, Reverend Chris Rushton, JP, and attended by a host of civic heads, elected members and the family of the Lord Mayor.
Beginning at 10am, the service was both meaningful and uplifting, and the drinks and cake which followed were delicious and very welcome.
