On Thursday 20th October, The High Sheriff and his Consort, Lesley, were honoured to be invited by The Chief Constable of Staffordshire Police, Chris Noble, to join other invited Dignitaries and Guests at The Annual Staffordshire Police Force Awards, which were held at The National Memorial Arboretum and celebrated the achievements of staff who have excelled in their duties for the communities of Staffordshire.
Teams and individuals who have helped to save lives, supported staff with their mental wellbeing and helped to change public attitudes on violence towards women and girls through education were among the police staff and officers who were recognised at the Awards evening.
Chief Constable Chris Noble said: “The Force Awards is an opportunity to recognise the fantastic work being done by colleagues, which is making a real difference to our communities in Staffordshire. It’s a real highlight in the year for us to come together to recognise, celebrate and thank the award winners but also the wider force for their continuing hard work, dedication and professionalism.”
The High Sheriff was delighted to present ‘The Outstanding Contribution Award’ and afterwards said that he and his Consort thoroughly enjoyed the proceedings and it was wonderful to be part of such an inspirational and informative evening where amazing acts of bravery, selflessness and innovation were celebrated.
The High Sheriff extends his thanks to Chief Constable Noble for his most kind invitation.
