We attended the Anzac day service at the Australian and New Zealand cemetery at Cannock Chase. Without the British legion the soldiers who are buried there would be forgotten. A poignant service with last post, and a veterans march past.

Judy and I visited Manna house, Hanley, Dinner takes place from 6.00 p.m. onwards on Thursdays. It is run by a volunteer group specifically for deprived or homeless people in the city. A visit this morning to Matthew Ellis, crime commissioner and Deputy Commissioner Sue Arnold. They both share an interest with me for volunteer groups, and offered to help raise awareness of the smaller underfunded groups in Staffordshire. I had a serious update on crime in the county.

A lovely Easter service with a civic procession to and from the Guildhall. We joined the Mayor and Sheriff of Lichfield for coffee.

We visited St Giles Hospice in Whiittington for the rebranding of their logo and announcement of their five year plan. Their Group chief executive gave an excellent talk.
