On Monday 15th August, The High Sheriff was joined by his Chaplain, The Revd Dr Robin Trotter as they visited the Unity 2022 International Camp for Girlguiding.
The Unity International Camp takes place every four years and members from the county have the opportunity to camp alongside members from across the UK and overseas visitors.
The camp was held at Kibblestone International Scout Camp in Stone and The High Sherrif and Revd Trotter were taken on a tour of the camp. The High Sheriff said ‘it was fantastic to see all the girls making friends and coming together to celebrate all that’s great about Guiding and the role you play in the community. Camps are a brilliant way of building togetherness and a sense of unity that brings. Reaching out to people and joining together makes the world a better place and I hope that everyone involved in Girlguiding continues their marvellous work’.
