Zaphne Stretton, Chair of the Cannock Chase District Council, held her annual Black Country Night on the 28th February in aid of the Chairman’s Chosen Charity, the Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
It was a fantastically fun night which was well attended. We were joined by Kath Perry, Chairman of the County Council, and her husband Ray; Jackie Barnes, Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent; Keith Flunders, Chairman of Staffordshire Moorlands District Council; Councillor Kath Williams and her daughter Amanda; and Mark Green, Mayor of Stone.
I auctioned a bottle of my High Sheriff gin which raised a fantastic £75. Thank you to Zaphne for a brilliant event, which raised an impressive amount for a well-deserved cause.
