I am appealing on behalf of St John’s Ambulance in the County which is now working alongside the NHS in support of the West Midland Ambulance Service and, from yesterday, in Stoke and Stafford Hospitals and in the NHS Nightingale Hospital in Birmingham.
I am very pleased that Charities received strong recognition in the Chancellor’s statement of today but, at the moment, St John Ambulance have lost their usual training income, are spending £1.6 million per week supporting the NHS and need £450 000 per week to continue their work. Money pledged by the Government today should help but it is currently unclear how much support will be forthcoming.
So please support this vital cause either by making a cheque payable to St John Ambulance, envelope addressed to SCC FREEPOST, no stamp required indicating who sent it and where from or on-line by clicking on https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/takethestrain.
Thank you for your support.
