On the evening of Friday 7th February, the Mayor and Mayoress of Stafford, Councillor Gareth Jones and Mrs Renee Robinson, held the annual Mayor’s Charity Ball at the Staffordshire County Showground.
The event included a delicious five course meal, music from the talented Cartoon Kings, bingo and a silent auction – all in aid of the Mayor’s chosen charities, the Stafford Samaritans, Douglas Macmillan Hospice and Staffordshire Women’s Aid.
I donated a bottle of my own High Sheriff’s Gin to the silent auction, which made over £100.
The entire evening raised in excess of £3,700 for the Mayor’s charities. Thank you very much to Gareth and Renee for organising and hosting such an enjoyable and fun evening.
