An interesting and informative visit to Northern Area Custody Facility today. Thanks to Insp Allport for showing me round and answering my many questions. Custody staff and medical services do a difficult job and take great care to safeguard the health, safety and dignity of prisoners. Nearly 20,000 detainees pass through the three custody facilities in the county each year.
