The third and final of my High Sheriff Staffordshire Quizzes was held in Ashley Memorial Hall on 19th October. Ten brave teams competed to see how much they already knew about their county, and went away knowing more than when they arrived! Combine that with a delicious supper and convivial company and it was generally proclaimed a great evening. The quiz was won by past High Sheriff Annie Fisher and her team.
Thanks my wonderful assistants – quizmaster Andrew, scorer Michala, barman Charles (assisted by Nooey), to Julie and Susan for helping to arrange it and to Richard for helping shift furniture on the night. Special thanks to Sally and her ladies for the tasty meal. Finally thank you to everyone who has competed in one of the quizzes and contributed so generously to the raffle and bar profits. We have raised over £4000 which is really appreciated by the High Sheriff Fund and local first responders.
