Having not taken place during Covid, this was a particularly poignant service, held at the National Memorial Arboretum to commemorate the members of the Armed Services who have died in the previous two years.
I was honoured to join The Lord Lieutenant of Staffordshire Mr Ian Dudson and senior members of our Armed Services in laying wreaths at the Armed Services Memorial, where the new names had been carved.
A Spitfire flypast provided a fitting backdrop to a very moving service, and it was truly humbling to talk to the families of the men and women commemorated today.
