The Biddulph Christian Aid Group works tirelessly within our community to help it thrive, tackling the root causes of poverty, helping people during times of disaster, and supporting local charities.
To help raise much needed funds and awareness for CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young), John Bamford, MBE, Chairman of Biddulph Christian Aid Group, organised a market in the town centre – and very kindly invited me along.
I took my son Elijah as my consort and we were both honoured, alongside other visiting dignitaries, to receive a guard of honour provided by the Scouts, Guides, Cubs and Brownies of Staffordshire. It was a beautifully sunny day, which attracted many visitors who enjoyed the 20 stalls, all selling a variety of handmade gifts and produce.
It was a fantastically up-lifting event with many tales of human kindness and compassion. I would like to thank John for his invitation and his continued hard work and dedication to the Biddulph Christian Aid Group and Staffordshire.
