The High Sheriff attends The Choral Eucharist for Easter Day at Lichfield Cathedral

On Sunday 17th April the High Sheriff and his Consort, Miss Lesley Machin, accompanied The Mayor of Lichfield, Cllr Robert Yardley and the Sheriff of Lichfield Mr Peter Hitchman on behalf of the Civic party to the Easter Sunday service at the Lichfield Cathedral.

The cathedral adopted a hybrid approach to their Choral Eucharist service by welcoming guest through its doors and virtually via Facebook and YouTube. As the members of Staffordshire continue to adapt to life after COVID-19, the effort to include and allow all members of the congregation to celebrate Easter in a setting they feel comfortable was appreciated. The service consisted of an array of hymns by the talented cathedral choir and readings by the Dean The Very Revd Adrian Dorber and The Bishop of Lichfield The Rt Revd Dr Michael Ipgrave OBE.

The High Sheriff would like to extend his thanks to The Mayor of Lichfield and the Sheriff of Lichfield for their kind invitation and the hospitality of Lichfield Cathedral would organised delightful Easter Sunday service.
