The Knife Angel is a National Monument against Violence and Aggression created by the artist Alfie Bradley and the talented team at The British Ironwork Centre. Its aim is to shine a light on the rise in knife crime and violence within the UK and the need to do something about it. This is a cause which is close to my heart and through my role as the High Sheriff of Staffordshire, I hope to raise awareness of this need to find a resolution.
The Knife Angel is currently on a nationwide tour, spreading its message across the country, and it is my hope that we will be able to bring this highly emotive sculpture to Staffordshire. I have visited the British Ironwork Centre and met with Clive Knowles, Chairman of The British Ironwork Centre to discuss the possibility of a residency in our county. We will keep you updated.
