On Saturday 26th June, at the invitation of the Dean of Lichfield, we were delighted to attend the unveiling of a magnificent new statue of St Chad, the first Bishop of Lichfield, at Lichfield Cathedral.
I particularly enjoyed meeting the sculptor, Peter Walker, and hearing about the intriguing process of capturing the likeness & qualities of the 7th Century Saint in bronze.
