I spent the morning with a Staffordshire specialist traffic officer, patrolling the roads of Stafford, in a very powerful unmarked police car which has been deployed as part of the Chief Constable’s road safety enhancement programme. As part of this deployment, several cars will be patrolling the counties road network, ensuring compliance and also clamping down on illegal activities such as speeding, dangerous driving, and no insurance, as well as stolen vehicle activity and protection from County Lines criminality. After lunch, it was a great pleasure to award Police Dog Tizzi a retirement medal and certificate for her brave service to Staffordshire Police, which was warmly received by her handler.
This was sadly to be my last Shrieval event in public, due to the Covid-19 Virus.
