It was an immense privilege to be invited to the RAF Association Remembrance Garden Service, which was held at the National Memorial Arboretum on the 14th June.
Remembering those brave personnel who gave their lives to save our country, the service was attended by The Lord Lieutenant Mr Ian Dudson, his wife Mrs Jane Dudson and special guests Sir Baz North, president of the RAF Association; Mr Nick Bunting, general secretary of the RAF Association; and the Venerable (Air Vice-Marshall) John R Ellis, RAF Chaplain-in-Chief. As well as myself, other guests included the Mayors and Tamworth and East Staffordshire; Group Captain Tone Baker, Station Commander RAF Cosford; Group Captain Chris Mullen, Station Commander RAF Shawbury; and MPs for Burton and Stafford.
It was an extremely moving service and a great tribute to all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
