The Very Reverend Adrian Dorber
Adrian Dorber has been the Dean of Lichfield since 2005. He was educated at Durham, Cambridge and King’s College, London. Ordained to the Anglican ministry in 1980 he has worked in the Oxford, Portsmouth and Durham Dioceses. He has been a parish priest, a University Chaplain and Lecturer, and a Director of Ministries and Training. He is currently Chairman of the Association of English Cathedrals and has chaired the group that produced the report ‘Spiritual Capital – the present and future of English Cathedrals’. With a keen interest in public theology and in inter-faith relationships, he has led three pilgrimages to the Holy Land and was an ecumenical scholar at Tantur, the Ecumenical Institute between Jerusalem and Bethlehem in 2012. He is a member of the Council for Christians and Jews and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
The High Sheriff has appointed The Very Reverend Adrian Dorber, Dean of Lichfield to serve as his Chaplain for 2019-20.
