After weeks of campaigning, the election was finally here – and it was my role as Returning Officer and the High Sheriff of Staffordshire to read the results from the Stafford Constituency and the Stone Constituency.
My evening began with visits to Burton-on-Trent and Burntwood for the Lichfield count and to meet their Acting Returning Officer, before I returned to Stafford Leisure Centre to announce the results for Stafford and Stone and met Tim Clegg, the Acting Returning Officer for Stafford and Stone.
